Architecture
The core of the BIS Data Warehouse consists of Oracle database schemas, developed by Bevertec based on our unique understanding and experience in the business of transaction management. Other BIS components include:
Dimensions — attributes for data analysis and drill down relationships.
Facts — definitions and business metrics.
Staging Tables — extracts from source systems loading staging area for checks and normalization of data.
Indexes, partitioning and external use — maximizes performance of ETL and query.
Scripts — to create dimensions, facts and supporting objects.
ETL processes — perform incremental Refresh loads of the database schema.
Schedule jobs — automate the refresh load process.
Oracle Discoverer End User Layer (EUL) — for metadata to support end user decision-making, analysis, and ad-hoc reporting activities.
A starter set of Oracle Discoverer workbooks, pre-built to satisfy the most common and frequent types of analysis.
Oracle Application Server — for Web based delivery of Oracle Discoverer and Oracle Reports content.
Extract scripts and consultancy regarding scheduling and operations.
BIS presents transaction data on specific cards if used multiple times on same day or for large amounts or over specific limits.
