ESP-Link™/FTS Solution:  Unibanca

ESP-Link™ enjoys a predominant position in Peru, serving 80% of the banks in the country through Unibanca.
Unibanca is an association of 18 Peruvian banks with 200 ATMs, 2,000 POS and over 30,000 transactions per day. The consortium needed to improve their service and move forward with a bank card that offered a unique, competitive advantage.

To answer that challenge, we installed a "virtual card" system at Unibanca, managed by our ESP-Link™/Financial Transaction Solution (FTS) software. With a broader reach than Interac, this single card gives customers full service access to practically every bank in the country. The card service is customer-driven. Customers can personalize their cards from a full menu of services offered by all participating banks. Customers can transfer money from their chequing account at bank "A" to their savings account at bank "B". While at bank "A", they can check their balance and withdraw cash from a third bank account at bank "C".

The Unibanca card empowers cardholders to perform customized banking. It provides greater service accessibility, multi-currency and multi-language capabilities.

With ESP-Link™/FTS, Unibanca has raised the bar and set new standards for customer service in Peruvian retail banking and around the world.
